Find a comfortable seat and take a couple of conscious breaths to connect. Lengthen through your spine and soften your shoulders away from your ears. Bring the palm of your hands to touch into a prayer position at the center of your chest.
Find a comfortable seat and take a couple of conscious breaths to connect. Lengthen through your spine and soften your shoulders away from your ears. Bring the palm of your hands to touch into a prayer position at the center of your chest. Continue nasal breathing, equalizing your inhale and exhale. Start with the count 4:4 and steadily increase up to 8:8 or a count that feels comfortable for you. Continue to breathe in equal parts for 1-3 mintes, keeping your hands in prayer and your shoulders soft. To finish, take a deep breath in through your nose drawing your prayer up towards the ceiling. As you breathe out, float your arms down to your sides and relax them completely. Sit for another few minites, allowing your breathe to flow freely as you observe your experience.
- Imagne your breath cycle as a spiral. As you breathe in, the spiral moves from the center outward. As you breathe out the spiral moves inwards back towards the center.
